Jimmie Allen and his wife Alexis Gale have revealed that they are planning to divorce in the near future.
The musician, who is 37 years old, broke the news to his followers on Instagram on Friday. He also said that he and Gale, who is 27 years old, will be having another child together later in 2023.
Allen, who is 37 years old, stated that he and his partner, Lex, had “made the decision to separate after much thought and reflection in recent months.” “As we navigate this life change, we can also share the news that we will be welcoming another child together later on this year.”
“Ensuring that our children are healthy, happy, and loved is and always will be our top priority, and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another,” he wrote. “This will always be our number one priority.” “Due to the fact that our family is expanding, we humbly ask that you respect our request for privacy during this time.”
Gale published an identical message on both her personal and business Instagram accounts.
Allen is the father of three children: a boy, Aadyn, from a previous relationship; a daughter, Zara James, 17 months old; and a daughter, Naomi Bettie, 3 years old; all of whom he shares with Alexis. Allen’s new competition program, My Kind of Country, is currently available on Apple TV+.
The singer expressed his sentiment to Entertainment Tonight’s Cassie DiLaura at the ACM Awards the previous year, saying that he and his wife “feel outnumbered” by their children. The ACM Awards were held in 2017.
“Moving up one number from two to three is a significant leap. He said, “It’s cool, we love ’em, and we’re just definitely thankful for our kids.”
When asked about the idea of having another child, Allen said immediately and unequivocally, “Oh, I am done.”
“It was actually Alexis’ idea,” Allen remarked of being in the same location with all three children. “Because when it comes to babies, you guys know that we have the fun part… women have to carry the baby. ” Deliver the baby when it’s ready. And since she has said in the past that she doesn’t mind giving birth, the portion of her pregnancy that is ordinarily going to be difficult for her is “because she doesn’t mind giving birth.”
“But it’s OK with me if she’s finished. My jerseys have been retired, but there was some discussion about perhaps producing another one in a few years; however, at this point, we are simply going to wait and see. Whatever happens, happens,” said Allen.
Allen and Gale, who are both originally from Milton, Delaware, started dating in the spring of 2019 after meeting one another via a common cousin. By the time summer arrived, they had already been engaged.
The pair officially wed on May 27, 2021, at The Lake House Inn in Perkasie, Pennsylvania; however, they subsequently disclosed that they had conducted a secret, private ceremony one year previously on Allen’s birthday in June 2020. The event was kept a secret since it was Allen’s birthday.
